The Effects of Learning Styles of Pre-service Teachers on Their Sketchnotes Designs

The study aims to investigate the effect of pre-service teachers’ dominant learning styles on their sketchnotes designs prepared for science topics as well determining reasons visual and written elements used in these sketchnotes. was designed following descriptive correlational survey model. participants consisted 44 teacher teaching at grades two three studying Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University. quantitative data obtained through “Verbal Visual Dominant Learning Style Scale” developed by Akgün et al. (2014) while qualitative gathered from participants’ various secondary school curriculum. findings indicate that majority had style. As with style gave prominence visuals using drawings writing frequently sketchnotes, ones verbal more words sentences along frequent textual detailed explanations. It also found placed importance process building, grouping, listing emphasize are meant introduce teachers promote use them practices.
